LED Industry Technology Trends Showcased at TILS 2014

Taiwan International Lighting Show (TILS) 2014 opened its doors on March 20, 2014. This is the first year TILS has been held jointly with LED Taiwan. The show focused on the technology and future development for LED lighting manufacturers.

During the opening ceremony, LED package manufacturer Everlight’s Chairman Robert Yeh in an interview with LEDinside, stated that the company’s TV backlight and lighting demands are good this year and that demands for various products have grown substantially since last year. 

Manufacturers have been developing new directions for LED lighting as the market grows and traditional lighting is gradually replaced. Smart lighting is a potential new area for lighting technology evolution and manufacturers are fighting to invest more in this area. 

Leading companies among the lineup included Everlight, Delta Electronics, Epistar, Edison Opto, FOREPI, and Nan Ya Electronics. Zhaga Consortium also joined the show this year for the first time, introducing the latest LED light engine standards.
