Heliospectra AB announces an order from the University of Adelaide. The Plant Accelerator® at the University of Adelaide's Waite Campus has received a multi-million dollar investment to upgrade technologies and has selected Heliospectra LED Light Solutions to provide new LED lighting. The order is valued at $109,494 USD [SEK 909,000]. 

Philips Lighting announced it has signed its first LED grow light project in New Zealand with Gourmet Mokai Ltd to improve the quality and cost efficiency of growing its popular Campari cocktail tomatoes.

Taiwan-based LED epi-wafer and chip manufacturer Epileds registered a lower revenue in 3Q17 than that in 2Q17 and the revenue fell from a year ago because of seasonality and factory relocation. Epileds is predicted to continue moving factories and purchase infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) LED machines in 4Q17. Epileds will mainly buy used machines and modify them by itself. The revenue in 4Q17 is estimated to be similar to that in 3Q17. Epileds' annual revenue is projected to stay flat, but gross margin will improve, and profit will possibly bounce back. 

A group of investors and LED lighting technology experts, announced the formation of Hailux Lighting, an innovative LED Technology company focused on the Horticultural Lighting Market and providing innovative LED COB products. Russell Hall, an early stage investor, will lead Hailux Lighting.

Heliospectra AB (publ), an expert in intelligent lighting technology for greenhouse and controlled plant growth environments, announces a new cooperation with NYSK Holdings, a state-of-the-art medicinal cannabis facility in Macedonia. Active Grow, the next-gen horticulture lighting company’s Sweet Grass Series™ 300W LED Grow Light is the first to receive the new ETL Horticultural Lighting Certification from Intertek. Intertek has recognized the Active Grow SG300 LED grow light as a significant development in horticultural lighting technology, allowing the SG300 luminaire to be eligible for big rebates in commercial grow facilities.

Philips Lighting announced it has been awarded a new project with longtime partner Wim Peters, a high wire tomato growers in The Netherlands. Philips Lighting will again provide Peters with LED lighting for two greenhouses that he’s rebuilding after they were destroyed during a hailstorm in June 2016. The company will also provide LEDs for one new greenhouse that Peters is building to expand his business and meet the growing demand for LED grown tomatoes by his customers. The LED lighting will have higher light levels than the twenty kilometers of LED grow lights that Philips Lighting installed in the two greenhouses in 2013.

Heliospectra AB announces a new order from Heliospectra's Italian reseller Ageon S.r.l. The order goes to one of Italy's prominent commercial tomato producers Gandini Antonio S.S. located in northern Italy, with the goal to improve plant quality and increase yield. The order is valued at $99,000 (805,000 SEK).
