Revolution Lighting Technologies, a global provider of advanced LED lighting solutions, today announced that the small business portion of its New England based companies have completed approximately $25 million of business in 2016.  Through its divisions, Revolution Lighting worked closely with its small business customers to provide “turnkey” energy efficiency retrofit solutions, including the installation of LED technologies.

Revolution Lighting Technologies, a leader in advanced LED lighting technology solutions, announced that its divisions, TNT Energy and Tri-State LED, have been named as program contractors within Eversource's Small Business Energy Advantage Program (SBEA). As part of the Energize Connecticut initiative, the program is designed to help small businesses with a peak energy demand of less than 200kW per month save money, identifying and offering cost-effective energy efficiency turnkey solutions.

A LED plant valuing US $34 million that will be constructed in Qatar soon, will be initially have an annual production capacity of 500,000 units, said South Korean ambassador Heung Kyeong Park.

The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science has awarded four Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants targeting advances in solid-state lighting (SSL) and building-integrated heat and moisture exchange technology:

Three out of six Chinese LED lighting manufacturers found themselves in an“awkward” financial situation in 2014, with many reporting plunging net profits in their recent fiscal report.

The LIA has been working closely with the Green Construction Board and British Retail Consortium to develop a campaign aimed at encouraging independent and small to medium sized retailers to switch to LED lighting installations.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) announced a funding opportunity on October 27, 2014, for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Topics for this funding opportunity include solid-state lighting. Qualified small businesses with strong research capabilities in science or engineering in any of the research areas sought in the announcement are encouraged to apply.
