San’an Secures Leadership Position in Chinese LED Market

San’an has recently released their 3Q13 financial report. The first three quarters of the year saw a revenue of RMB 2.63 billion (US $431 million), a YoY growth of 11.86 percent. Gross profit margin was RMB 761 million, a YoY growth of 14.07 percent. Net profit attributable to company stockholders after deduction of non-recurring profits or loss was RMB 645 million, a substantial YoY growth of 59.95 percent. Earning per share (EPS) was RMB 0.53. Single quarter revenue for 3Q dropped to RMB 957 million, YoY dip of 2.48 percent.

CLSA’s Positive 2014 Outlook for San’an and Yankon

Rapid LED price drops for LED bulbs have driven up penetration rates, according to the latest CLSA Asia- Pacific Markets report . Chinese LED lighting market penetration rates for 2014 are expected to increase to 15 percent from 3 percent in 2012, according to a recent report by CLSA. Global LED lighting market growth will stimulate LED chip shipments in 2013-2014. CLSA is optimistic that Chinese LED manufacturers will benefit from this trend, listing LED chip manufacturer San’an and lighting manufacturer Yankon as main beneficiaries.

LEDforum 2013 Taipei will be hosted by LEDinside on October 16th-17th, 2013. Aside from inviting International and local Taiwanese big named manufacturers to the conference, China LED wafer manufacturer San’an and LED packaging manufacturer MLS Lighting will also be in attendance. AIXTRON AG today signed a contract with Sanan Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., on the supply of a double digit number of multiple CRIUS® II and AIX G5 MOCVD systems. The AIXTRON new generation MOCVD systems will be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011 and installed at Sanan’s new manufacturing facilities in Wuhu, Anhui, China.
