China Electric Mfg. to Make Cut-rate Strategy for 7.5W LED Bulb

China Electric Mfg. Corp. has intended to roll out 7.5W LED light bulbs retailed below NT$400 (US$13 at US$1:NT$30) sometime in April. The price range represents a huge markdown from NT$500 (US$16) for 7W bulbs it launched in 2011, as well as a 25% cut from the price of the first batch of 7.5W bulbs it introduced previously. At the heart of the company’s cut-price plan is LED chips sourced from Lextar Electronics.
