Taiwan PIDA Predicts Taiwan’s LED Industry Would Rise 10%

According to Photonic Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA), a Taiwan-based market research organization tracking the optoelectronics industry, Taiwan’s LED industry would rise 10% in revenue this year from 2011. PIDA set the 2012 revenue goal at NT$200 billion (US$6.8 billion at US$1:NT$29) and estimated the Taiwan industry would start to grow in the second half in anticipation of climbing demand for LED lighting.
