Coney Island , LED Light Project in Parachute Jump

  At the start of summer, outgoing Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Coney Island amusement park officials will toss the switch on a makeover of the iconic Parachute Jump, which is so bright it can be seen from space. The amusement area’s main ride operator has installed and will maintain the $2 million space-age LED lighting scheme on Coney’s tallest structure.
