The First Local Authority in the United Kingdom to Use LED Street Lights

Recently, Bath & North East Somerset Council is celebrating that being the first local authority in the United Kingdom to replace all main road lights with LED street lights. After this conversion, the energy consumption is expected to be decreased by over 1.5 Kilowatt Hours (Kwh) and the council is likely to save about £200,000 per year in electricity bills.
