Paris Metro to be the First Transport Network to Use LED 100 Percent

It has been reported that the Paris Metro will become the first transport network to use LED 100% in all of its stations. A 4 year, 11 million Euro deal has been published that will see 250,000 lights replaced at 302 metro and 66 suburban stations. The operators are currently working towards cutting energy consumption of the whole network by 15%, and changing the lighting will contribute significantly to this, with energy needed to light up the stations set to reduce by over 50%.
