The annual Photonics Festival in Taiwan (PFT) and its affiliated Opto, Display, LED Lighting, Solar, Optics and Plant Factory Taiwan exhibition present the platform for the Taiwan photonics industry and the photonics companies in the Asia Pacific region.

According to the organizer Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA), Taiwan is renowned for its display, LED, PV, optical fiber communication, and optics industries for decades, and there are many more opportunities in the emerging photonics fields such as plant factory, precision optics, 3D printing, and intelligent LED lighting products. It is expected that 600 exhibitors with more than 1200 booths will attend PFT.

PIDA has set the main theme of PFT 2014 to be an all-in-one exhibition covering photonics/machinery/electronics/nano-, micro-technologies to give buyers the one-stop-shopping benefits.

Together with its co-organizer Taiwan LED Lighting Industry Alliance (TLLiA), PIDA will hold the “2014 International Forum of LED Lighting, Specifications Integration and Standardization, Taipei” on the first day (17 June) of the exposition. TLLiA was founded in 2012 and its members include Formosa Epitaxy, Genesis photonics, TSMC Solid State Lighting, Bright Led Electronics, Lextar, Unity Opto Technology, Tyntek, Nan Ya Photonics, Forward Electronics, China Electric, Leadray Energy, Nupolar-Lights, Delta Electronics, AcBel Polytech, Genius Electronic Optical, Leotek Electronics, Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, Philips Taiwan, and Jan Cheng Lighting.
