With divestiture complete, Excelitas Technologies forges ahead as an independent company providing OEMs with customized, high-performance technology solutions
 

With a continued focus on delivering innovative, customized technology products and solutions to its global commercial and defense customers, the former Illumination and Detection Solutions (IDS) business of PerkinElmer was formally re-launched today as Excelitas Technologies Corp.
 
Now owned by private equity firm Veritas Capital, Excelitas Technologies has 3,000 employees, manufacturing operations in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia and projected 2010 revenues of over $300 million. The company will continue to support original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and aftermarket customers across a diverse range of specialty markets including: medical, analytical instrumentation, clinical diagnostics, industrial, safety and security, and aerospace and defense.
