Reportedly, Philips has supplied its LED products to the Co-operative Group’s new flagship store in The Strand, London.
Philips has installed its PowerBalance direct/indirect LED luminaire which allows passage of light across the ceiling and downwards into the facility.
With Philips’s luminaire, the company can consumes 25% less energy compared to other traditional fluorescent luminaires.
Philips has also provides Affinium LDM422 VISION PLUS canopy LED module for its refrigerated multi-deck display cabinets. The luminaire incorporates an optical design to evenly disseminate light down the cabinet thus ensuring maximum utilisation of light. The luminaire also runs low on energy consumption by about 20% which in turn will reduce maintenance costs. Besides, Affinium LED system is low voltage which ensures safety and has a life span of 50,000 hours.
The store's refrigerated champagne display cabinet is illuminated with a Philips MASTER LED tube replacing the present fluorescent lamp. The new lighting system will serve as a direct retrofit and will reap energy savings of 54%.
Asides from these, Philips’s other LED products including recessed downlighters, display lighting, surface-mounted fixtures for non-public spaces, emergency lighting as well as exit and external signage also will be installed in the store.
