$14K DEED Grant for LED Street Lights Installed in GPA

The Guam Power Authority (GPA) has received  $14K DEED grant from the American Public Power Association (APPA) to complete the installation and continue the monitoring of efficient streetlights at various locations on island with the final location in Dededo.

In 2010, GPA received official notice of a DEED (Demonstration of Energy Efficient Development) grant award for an LED  and Induction Streetlight Pilot Program to study the feasibility of energy efficient lighting for public roads on Guam.

GPA will complete installation of the final location that best fits the program evaluation criteria, review all data gathered; and as a part of the data compilation will include public feedback gathered through surveys.  The location in Dededo will be near the Dededo GPD Precinct.
