Lunera Lighting Announces New Appointments for Drive Innovation in Rapidly Growing Advanced Lighting Market

Lunera Lighting, Inc., has added new appointments to its executive team, including Shannon Paul Biggs to Senior Vice President of Operations, George Sigler to Chief Financial Officer and Michael Bremser to the position of Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering.

Team Overview Shannon Paul Biggs, as SVP of Operations, will bring 20 years of experience to Lunera’s supply chain management, engineering and manufacturing operations. He was previously VP of Operations for Kulicke and Soffa, where he built and managed manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and speed to market.

As CFO, George Sigler will be responsible for financial control, cost management, economic strategy, and forecasting for Lunera. George brings many years of financial management experience in the LED industry. Prior to Lunera, he provided financial leadership to several hardware manufacturers, including Permlight Products.

Michael Bremser, brings a distinguished background to Lunera’s leadership, having served as an expert advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy. He has made significant contributions to the advancement of LED technology over the last two decades; he holds numerous granted and pending patents. Previously, he served as VP, Global Program Manager of LED Products for Fulham and CTO for Permlight Products.

Market Opportunity These appointments come at time when the lighting industry is experiencing major disruption as the shortcomings of fluorescents are being realized and LED prices continue to drop. According to Pike Research, more than half of the commercial building market will be using LED lighting within the next ten years.
