Osram Sylvania Expands Ultra LED Lighting Portfolio

North American lighting manufacturer Osram Sylvania is upgrading its portfolio of Sylvania Ultra LED lamps, providing higher efficacy, competitively priced LED lamps and downlight retrofit kits for commercial applications. These long life, energy-efficient alternatives to traditional lighting sources such as incandescent, halogen and compact fluorescent lamps now have a variety of enhancements, including efficiency increases of 10 to 15 percent compared to previous versions resulting in more light with less energy usage, improved design and dimming capabilities. Next generation Ultra G25, PAR16, PAR20, PAR30LN, PAR38, PAR38 HO, MR16, BR30, BR40 and R20 LED replacement lamps are now available. A more efficient version of T8 Commercial Grade LED replacement lamps will be launched early next year to meet new Design Lights Consortium (DLC) requirements.

“We understand that the evolution to LED lamps is moving very quickly and presents new challenges for distributors,” said Mark Corcoran, Vice President, Trade Sales, Osram Sylvania. “Osram Sylvania is committed to finding solutions to ease this transition by instituting policies that support our distribution customers. We have also developed new tools and merchandising options to drive the sale of our products.”

For its business partners, Osram Sylvania is offering additional merchandising options to help support their marketing efforts, such as sampling kits and sales tools to identify best replacement options. New product brochures are available for the entire Ultra lamp and Ultra downlight retrofit family and the new Ultra 25™ lamp family designed for the hospitality industry. Osram Sylvania has also made improvements to its business processes to increase inventory levels to offset lead times, and has upgraded its return policies to make it even easier for distributors to meet product demand and manage their inventory.

Sylvania Ultra LED lamps feature no warm-up time, instant-on with full light output and stable color.
