IKEA Expands Sales Range of LED Light to Promote Lighting Development

In the boom of LED lighting, IKEA, the world's largest furniture retailer, will also expand the sales range of LED lighting product to support the promotion of efficient lighting products.

Steve Howard, the Chief Sustainability Officer of IKEA Group, said that LED is a lighting revolution. With the rapid rise of household electricity bills, the global energy consumption continues to grow; the positive impact brought by a LED bulb is unprecedented. Compared with the traditional incandescent lamp, the LED lamp brings a lot of new possibilities for home decoration. Based on belief that everyone should have the ability to live a more sustainable family Life, IKEA ensures that the all LED bulbs sold in IKEA are at lower prices on the market.

Many lighting manufacturers have launched LED lighting products for home use this year, including Philips and Cree, the lower prices also contributed to the popularity of LED lighting products. IKEA said that LED lighting products to be sold in IKEA will be at the lower price in the current market, in order to allow more consumers to accept these products.

Currently, IKEA has started selling new LED lighting products, and there will be more LED products to replace traditional lighting products. According to the plan, IKEA will only sell LED lamps by 2016.
