Absen LED Appoints Regional Sales Director

Absen Optoelectronics, a global manufacturer of LED displays, announced the appointment of Christopher Backhaus, former Sales Director of Barco NV and Daktronics Inc. as its Regional Sales Director for the German Speaking Market with effect 1 October 2014. His experience in closely related businesses will be a valuable asset to Absen for the further expansion of the business.

An industry veteran with over 10 years of experience in the LED display market, Christopher brings a varied creative background to his new position. Prior to joining Absen, Christopher was Sales Director for the German speaking market, also covering parts of Eastern Europe and the Middle East, for Barco LiveDots (LED screen department). Prior to that he served in Daktronics for six years as International Project and Sales Manager.
