Taiwanese LED Manufacturer AOC Responds to Toshiba Patent Infringement Lawsuit

Recently, Taiwanese LED manufacturer Arima Optoelectronic Corporation (AOC) has released an official response to a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Toshiba, according to a report from Money DJ.com.

In the plaintiff, Toshiba accused AOC of infringing LED patent I315588. Toshiba demanded the termination of sales for related products, and asked for compensation totaling NT $48 million (US $ 1.60 million).

AOC responded the company has always respected intellectual property and has patent protection for all products. Their products have also been certified by clients. AOC representatives have met with Toshiba to discuss further legal procedures. If AOC has infringed the above patent, it will take all necessary measures to protect its credibility, clients, stockholders and rights of related persons. Additionally, AOC noted the incident would not affect the company’s operations or product shipments.
