China Issues Three LED Luminaire Standards to be Effective in 2015

China’s Standardization Administration has issued three new LED luminaire standards.

The three LED standards issued by the administration include GB/T 31111-2014 “reflective self-ballasted LED lamp standard,” GB/T 31112-2014 “non-directional self-ballasted LED for general lighting regulations,” and the GB/T 24908-2014, which sets performance standards for “non-directional self-ballasted LED general lighting.” Once effective, the last standard will replace the current GB/T24908-2010.

All three standards will become effective as of Aug.1, 2015.
