"One year in the making, the approval of the Avista from the BSLA heralds a new chapter in our history of success," observed Chuck Campagna, president and CEO of Amerlux. "The LA project represents our full commitment to exterior lighting solutions on a grand scale, and demonstrates our proficiency and reach within major municipal and institutional markets."
The approval also represents the power, quality, and immense efficiency of the Amerlux Avista LED light engine. The award-winning Avista meets and exceeds RP-8 and DLC-compliant requirements. Advanced and streamlined, Avista is designed specifically for retrofitting traditional and post top luminaires, and for new construction as well.
With its unique, completely sealed LED optical chamber, Avista's cutting-edge optics and extraordinary output are matched only by its easy installation and adjustable height levels. A super-efficient, economical energy saver, Avista places light exactly where it is desired—in this case, the streets of LA.
The proof was in the testing. The initial installation was a retrofit of close to 1,000 lamps, for which Amerlux evaluated and customized the process. "This is a huge advantage for Amerlux's municipal customers, as we tailored every aspect of the retrofit to suit LA's needs," Campagna observed.
