The organizations showcased the results of their collaborated effort at Stadia & Arena Asia Pacific 2016, which took place from Sept. 26-28, 2016, at Yokohama Arena.
The new LED grow light Brighturf is targeting grass growth at soccer, football, baseball, cricket and horse racing stadiums, golf courses and other areas to speed up growth by six times faster.
Brighturf mounts red and blue LED lights of 660nm and 450 nm wavelengths onto a frame of 1.5 meters above the grass, and can cover an area of 90 square meters.
Older grass growth lighting systems used halogen lights that often overheated and dried out the grass.
