LED packaging company Everlight has announced revenue of NT$2.21 billion (US$ 71.69 million) for August, up by 9.26% MoM and down by 5.83% YoY.

Everlight has highlighted that though the competition of the LED industry remains intense, the company has strengthened its product portfolio and put the focal point on high margin products including automotive lighting, invisible LEDs and Mini LED applications.

International automobile manufacturers have placed orders for automotive lighting including headlight, taillight and interior lighting to Everlight. The company expects that the shipment of automotive products will contribute to the revenue of 2H18.

Other Taiwanese LED producers, Lextar and Epistar also reported revenue growth for August, suggesting that the peak quarter for the LED industry is coming.
