RiTdisplay has been collaborating with Micro LED company PlayNitride since 2019 to develop Micro LED displays. The two parties exhibited a few small size Micro LED display modules for wearable applications at Touch Taiwan last year. Now at Display Week 2020, RiTdisplay demonstrated a video of a Micro LED thin film display as well.

By the end of 2019, RiTdisplay reported its plans to launch Micro LED displays in 2020. However, half of the 2020 has passed and the company now updated its schedule of Mini LED products launch in 2021. RiTdisplay noted that currently its 4-inch Mini LED display is double the price of LCD, it is still uncertain if the clients will accept the cost.
