Osram Appoints Terry O’Neal As New Solutions Business Unit CEO

Osram, one of the two globally leading light manufacturers today announced the appointment of Terry O’Neal as Chief Executive Officer of Osram’s Solutions Business Unit and Traxon Technologies Ltd. He succeeds Mike Mastroyiannis, who is leaving the company on November 30, “Terry is an excellent choice to lead Osram’s solution business“, stated Peter Laier, Osram’s Chief Technology Officer and executive board member responsible for the company’s general lighting business. “His background in the electrical industry running global businesses along with his extensive experience in energy efficiency and power quality products make him uniquely qualified for this important position.“

“I am excited to join Osram and lead this business for the company. I am looking forward to collaborating with our clients and partners to help them with their lighting solutions,” said O’Neal. “We are working on many exciting projects around the globe and we will work closely with our customers to ensure that we are enabling them to optimize their lighting design.”

O’Neal’s career began with Schneider Electric where he spent 19 years in sales, marketing, corporate strategy, manufacturing and M&A. O’Neal held senior management positions in Singapore, France, and the USA before becoming President of EFI Electronics and later Kavlico Corporation, both subsidiaries of Schneider Electric. After leaving Schneider Electric, he held senior leadership positions within private equity held companies as CEO of Abrisa Technologies and Global VP of Fulham Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
