On the heels of the record-breaking 2009 show and the largest conference in its 20-year history, LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI) is preparing for another strong educational program in 2010 with the official Call for Speakers. LFI, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference—featuring the LIGHTFAIR Institute® and the LIGHTFAIR Daylighting Institute®—calls for speakers to submit proposals for the 2010 conference in Las Vegas.
This is an opportunity for industry experts to present lighting-related topics such as applications, software, control systems, product updates, design innovations, daylighting, sustainable and environmental design, case studies, professional development, lighting fundamentals and advanced in-depth subject matter to architects, specifiers, lighting designers, interior designers, engineers, lighting manufacturers, contractors, landscape architects and students.
In addition to its renowned Daylighting Institute and LIGHTFAIR Institute courses and workshops and its six seminar tracks, the LFI educational program will now offer a new category within the seminar tracks — Integrated Building Design & Optimization, which encompasses integrated building design processes as well as component technologies that work together as a system to improve building performance.
Industry professionals who can develop and present well-defined, timely and in-depth courses are invited to submit proposals. All submissions must be made via the official LFI website at www.lightfair.com. Submissions will be accepted online only until September 30, 2009. Participating speakers, chosen by the LFI Conference Advisory Committee (CAC), will present at LFI 2010, May 10-14, at Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV.
