LiteLED’s SL Series deliver a low profile, energy efficient replacement for fluorescent and neon solutions with Philips LUXEON LEDs

UK lighting manufacturer LiteLED has released the SL Series linear LED luminaire, a strip light that is smaller, longer lasting and provides superior task efficiency compared to the neon or fluorescent lamps. LiteLED says the SL Series was designed to address the specific demands of under-cabinet, cove and refrigeration lighting applications.

Philips Lumileds points out that LiteLED was able to achieve a very slim profile—just 10mm–by using Its LUXEON Rebel and LUXEON K2 LEDs. Their highly efficient LEDs enable the SL Series luminaires to deliver task efficiencies comparable to those of a standard T5 fluorescent fixture.

Andrew Littler, Marketing Director of LiteLED, notes LED-based lighting has already replaced incandescent lights in many applications. Their LUXEON-based SL products are now ready to take on fluorescent and neon in cove and under-cabinet lighting. The SL Series is not just better than fluorescent and neon for power efficiency, or for size, or for lifetime – it’s far better on all three counts.

New solutions are longer lasting and easier than ever to use. The LUXEON-based SL Series is lifetime-rated for replacement at 60,000 hours. Using the SL Series is as easy as plugging it in, turning it on, and enjoying fabulous bright white light, or any color you want.

The SL Series is available in lengths of 300mm, 600mm, 900mm and 1.200mm. The product has an IP67 rating, making it suitable for interior and exterior use, and can be dimmed. Multiple lengths may be joined together for a maximum length of 10 meters.
