I.    Brief Introduction

Chinese LED company Jiangxi LatticeLighting Co., Ltd. has succeed in developing and manufacturing high power LED street light and tunnel light whose luminous efficiency reaches 108.6 lm/w. In fact, it is the reported commercial highest luminous efficiency LED Street light on the world market.

Luminous efficiency, i.e. lumens per watt constitutes one of the most important technical parameters for judging the quality of a LED light. It symbolizes the feature of energy-saving of a light: Higher the luminous efficiency, better the lantern.

The test to LED street light LLRA120 effected by China National Lighting Fitting Quality Supervision Testing Centre shows the light features as follows:

Total luminous flux: 13 395 lm, Luminaire efficiency: 108.6 lm/w. The successful development and manufacture of this lantern prove that our independent technology in researching and developing LED street light as well as tunnel light has ranked among the most advanced LED technologies in the world.  

Jiangxi LatticeLighting Co., Ltd. has implemented the strategy of giving priority to technology. In the symposium of LED products used in The Project ’10 000 Lamps in 10 Cities’ organized by The Ministry of Science and Technology of China held in 2009, the responsible of China National Lighting Fitting Quality Supervision Testing Centre extended his praise to the LLRA120 street light: ’It’s our centre who tested this light . The results showed that its quality index is excellent and has reached the world advanced level.’. The company won successively the honor titles of Jiangxi Provincial Creative Products, Jiangxi Provincial Energy-Saving Products…etc. The design of its products conforms to the Norms of American Energy Star. The test effected by The National Lighting Test Centre of China and The National Traffic Safety Facility Test Centre of China proved that LED street light and LED tunnel light of this company are the qualified products.

Up to now, more than 2 000 high power LED street lights produced by the company have been erected on the symbolical construction works in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi province, such as on the Ba Yi Bridge, along Yang Ming Road and Zi Yang Boulevard and in Nanchang University. Civilians and specialists gave praise to their wonderful effects as well as their excellent color rendering and light uniformity. Jiangxi LatticeLighting Co., Ltd. ensures that its street light can save energy by more than 50%. An example: 490 LED street lights in 220w installed along Zi Yang Boulevard 5.4km long can save electricity by 55%. Calculated on the basis of working duration 11 hours one light, all these LED street lights save annually electricity up to 459 000kwh which can reduce emission of 29.10 tons of CO2 and a great quantity of SO2.

Actually energy-saving and CO2 emission reduction to which importance is attached make people focus their attention upon green lighting. III.  Advantages of LATTICELIGHTING Street Light

IV.    Typical Application Projects

1.    Zi Yang Boulevard in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, P.R. China

Along Zi Yang Boulevard, 5.40km long, Road No.1 of the east entrance of Jiangxi, 484 units of LATTICELIGHTING LLRA192 LED street lights (power consumption 220W) are installed for replacement of 484 units of high voltage sodium lamps (power consumption 480W). The renovated boulevard has 6 driveways in 2 directions with the green belt 7 meters large. All the street lights are erected on the two sides of the boulevard with pole-spacing 41m and pole height 13m. By testing in place, their maximal illuminance reaches 36 lux.

2.    Yang Ming Road in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, P.R. China

Yang Ming Road, 1.2km long, Arterial Street of Nanchang, situated in the city centre, has 8 traffic lanes in 2 directions. After the renovation to the original street lights, 205 units of LATTICELIGHTING LED street lights in total are installed along the street, including 77 units of LLRA192 street lights, 77 units of LLRA168 and 51 units of LLRA060 which are arranged symmetrically on the two sides of the road with pole-spacing 35m. By testing in place, the luminaire luminous efficacy is 79.0 lm/w, maximal illuminance 28 lux, minimal illuminance 13 lux and average illuminance 20 lux, illuminance uniformity 0.65, longitudinal illuminance 0.7.

3.  Nanchang Ba Yi Bridge  

Ba Yi Bridge, 3 000m long, emblematic architecture in Nanchang, is the first cable-stayed bridge in Jiangxi province, also the longest cable-stayed one in Nanchang. It has 6 driveways in 2 directions. 68 units of LLRA168 street lights produced by Jiangxi LatticeLighting Co., Ltd. with pole-spacing 32m are arranged bi-directionally and symmetrically. The pole height is of 11m with arm 1m and elevation of 15 degrees. The design data is as follows: luminous flux 14641lm, minimal illuminance 22 lux, average illuminance 32 lux, illuminance uniformity 0.69, longitudinal uniformity of road 0.8. power density 0.65w/㎡. Calculated on the basis of 11hrs per day, all the lights consume only 149kwh of electricity per day.

4、 Nanchang University

For replacing convenitional 400w high voltage sodium lamps; 60 units of LATTICELIGHTING LLRA120 LED street lights have been installed along the 3 roads in Qian Hu campus of Nanchang University. All these street lights have the average illuminance 28 lux, reaching the standard of city road illumination ME2. The installation of these lanterns can reduce power consumption by 60% and save energy by 2/3. Also dimming technique is applied to each light, enabling each lantern to reduce automatically power consumption to a reasonable level at night when there are few pedestrians and vehicles. Due to constant control by the electronic appliance, lamps and lanterns, drivers as well as the electronic appliance can operate continuously and steadily even under conditions of voltage and current below rated ones. Thus, the service life of the products will greatly extend.
