Optek joins Osram's "LED Light For You" network as partner

Recently, Optek Technology will bring many years of experience in the areas of LED lighting and assemblies to join Osram's "LED Light For You" (LLYF) network for optical, thermal and electronic solution categories as partner.

The "LED Light for you" network is designed to support lighting manufacturers, planners and LED users in the designing and implementation of solid-state lighting systems. That provides users with the opportunity to gain support in their lighting projects, including expertise, technical support and design guidance in the areas of optics, thermal management and electronics. Optek offers an extensive range of standard and custom LED lighting assemblies in a wide range of configurations, outputs and colors. The company also offers heat management substrates, as well as a LED laboratory for complete testing and data evaluation. Optek's products are specified for use in signage, backlighting, channel-letter lighting, high brightness indicators and illuminators, automotive interior and exterior lighting, architectural and entertainment lighting applications.

Dave Birtalan, director of new business development for Optek said their extensive product offering along with their technical engineering expertise in partnership with Osram Opto Semiconductors will directly contribute to their mutual goal of growing LED lighting solutions and bring new products to market.

According to Sebastian Lyschick, project manager for LLFY at Osram, LLFY's recent partner growth highlights the acceptance and excitement about LED technology. Collaboration between network partners is at the core of LLFY's mission. Just as a stand-alone LED does not produce light, partners work together to provide the appropriate system components to create solutions to launch specific LED applications.
