According to the patent, Apple plans to include multitouch displays in upcoming Mac computers. The backlight will project light upwards towards the keys of the keyboard, improving user visibility and providing instructional aid.
Additionally, the new patent may be used to incorporate an input structure into future macbooks, allowing for a multiple touch screen. Users will be able to interact with an interface which can detect multiple touches at once, said Patently Apple.
