The system integrates iOS and Android smartphone’s navigation system with bike lighting systems to allow bikers to safely navigate roads hands-free. COBI is compatible with iPhone 5 and above phone systems, Android 4.3+ above systems, Nexus 5 and phone models released after 2015.

Not many details were given by the company about the LEDs used for the project, aside for the fact the lights have a brightness of 25 lux at a distance of 10 meters under full beam, and 10 lux at dimmed beam.

The bike's amber LED taillights also act as turning lights.

From the demo film it can be seen the circular white LED lights in front of the bike also functions as an alarm system to deter bike thieves. The tail lights or turn lights are amber LEDs that can be controlled using a side button to the left of the bike.

The company has so far raised $ 204,787 out of its goal of $ 100,000 on Kickstarter, and aims to bring the product to supporters by 2Q15 earliest.

The bike system can also indicate mileage, calories, speed and heart rate.
