Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and REI jointly announced the voluntary recall of UCO Arkac LED light made in China.
The UCO Arkac LED lights to be recalled this time can be used as signal lights, lighting or USB charger, the top of lamp shade is made of red transparent plastic and removable; the base is black with red extended base. UCO Arkac LED light comes with 3.7v4Ah rechargeable lithium-ion battery, USB cable and wall charger, and it is about 7.7 inches in height and about 2.5 inches in diameter, the folded height is about 5.25 inches, "UCO", flame patterns and two USB ports are located on the base. Wall charger is black plastic cubes in the side length of 1 inch, with white plug. Model "A1265" is marked on the plug. The LED lights have been sold from April to May of 2013 in the U.S., and the unit price is approximately $ 70 / light.
About 2300 units of lights will be recalled this time. The reason for the recall is that the wall charging plug of the LED lights is easy to fall, and exists a risk of fire. Up to now, REI has not received any reports of incidents.
In view of that, the U.S. CPSC advises consumers to immediately stop using the recalled LED lights, and contact with REI for free replacement plug.
