The event will bring horticulture, lighting experts and lighting manufacturers together to provide deeper insights and share best practices of the latest plant growth technologies in controlled environments.
At the conference, CREE will present its complete Horticulture LED portfolio, which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of lighting manufacturers and plant growers. CREE LEDs provide the industry's highest photosynthesis photon flux (PPF), as well as the highest efficiency and reliability to enable the exchange of high-pressure sodium (HPS) at lower power. CREE's broad portfolio of horticultural optimized LEDs provides plant growers with tailor-made solutions with high flexibility and efficiency.
CREE's white and colored LEDs allow lighting manufacturers to control the level and spectrum of the light so that a certain phase of growth is promoted - from flowering to full-bodied. This allows users to optimize plant growth regardless of season or sunlight to maximize yields.
"Farmers are always struggling with unpredictable temperature fluctuations and are increasingly under pressure to produce seasonal crops all year round. We are seeing an increasing interest in new lighting solutions for horticulture, "says Paul Scheidt, product marketing manager for LED Components at CREE. "The Horticulture-Lighting area is an emerging market. It is important that plant growers understand the benefits of switching to LED lighting. "
