The world's largest LED industry event - LED CHINA 2012 organized by UBM Trust was successfully concluded on 23 February 2012 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Area B in Guangzhou, P.R. China. The scale of this exhibition is the biggest ever - 70,000 square metres, a 40% increase from the 2011 edition. More than 900 domestic and overseas exhibitors showcased the latest technology and products covering the complete LED industry chain.

The 4-day fair closed with record figures: 62,910 trade professionals (5.17% up on 2011), including 54,620 domestic visitors and 8,290 overseas ones.
 
Exhibits covered the complete upper, middle and downstream industry chain, including LED lighting, LED display, LED illuminant, LED chips, packaging and materials, LED manufacturing equipment and testing instruments. Over 250 manufacturers showed the high-tech and high-quality displays, including: the world’s highest definition P3 LED Display by Foxconn, KAKA Series Display by Unilumin, PH3 & PH2.54 High Contrast/Refresh Display by Liantronics, and A1688 Outdoor Full Color LED Display by Absen, combining to offer the best image quality and technology for a sumptuous visual feast.

Large crowds poured into the newly-added sector - LED lighting.  More than 600 LED exhibitors presented various kinds of latest LED lighting products, such as, LED outdoor lighting, LED landscape lights, solar LED lights and LED indoor lamps, etc. Featured exhibitors include: HongLi showcasing LB028 Lighting Series; Nationstar showcasing a series of lighting devices and lamps - LED tube, LED bulb, LED spotlights, LED wall washer, etc.  Meanwhile, the overseas exhibitors, included Taiwan Pavilion, Dowa and TN-Sanso from Japan, Sapphiretek and Verticle from Korea, Elmo Light from Lithuania, Monocrystal from Russia, KVANT from Slovakia, Cree, NuSil, Ovation Polymers, Philips Lumileds, Rubicon Technology from US and ELEK from Vietnam, all of whom were satisfied with the results and ranked LED CHINA was the top show in the LED industry.

Concurrent to the fair, the inaugural China International LED Application Forum taking place on 19 and 21 February and the China LED Intellectual Property Summit taking place on 20 February have been added to the line-up of onsite activities. The LED Application forum hosted over 200 global LED industry leaders and government officials to discuss current LED market developments, standards and trends, and shared case studies on infrastructure and commercial projects.  The one day LED IP Summit included lectures on how IP was shaping the industry, how manufacturers were managing their patents, and strategies on navigating this new landscape.

LED CHINA 2013 will take place from 1-4 March 2013 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Area B in Guangzhou, P.R. China.  It is projected to attract 1,100 exhibitors and cover 80,000 square metres in exhibition space.
