With the Design Pro LED lights, Kichler has received the Lighting for Tomorrow Award – a lighting industry honor for energy-efficient solutions.
It's said that the Lighting for Tomorrow competition, sponsored by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, the U.S. Department of Energy and the American Lighting Association, encourages manufacturers to produce a range of new lighting fixtures that use less electricity, complement home decoration and provide high-quality light output.
A panel of nine industry experts mainly based on color appearance, color rendering, amount and distribution of light, application efficiency, appearance and style to evaluate the winner.
As a result, because of its innovative design; its high-quality, white-light output and its ultra-efficient technology, Kichler's Design Pro LED Broad Roof Path and Spread Light was recognized as a winner in the solid-sate lighting category.
Kichler's Design Pro LED Broad Roof Path and Spread Light features a sleek, sculpted spindle center capped by a broad, shallow roof that diffuses and spreads LED light within a landscape. The path light uses 75 percent less energy than its incandescent counterparts with a long-lasting design, offering 40,000 hours or roughly 20 years of light.
Now, Kichler has expanded its LED landscape offerings with eight new Design Pro LED path lights modeled after popular incandescent styles.
