Two European companies including Germany’s Osram and Legrand are preparing for investment in Turkey.
Martin Goetzeler , Chief Executive of Osram disclosed that Osram was thinking about investing LED technology in Turkey. Osram’s global revenue reached EUR 4.7 billion in 2010 and its sales in Turkey increased twofold in the last four years. In addition, it was the second fastest growing country last year and this year it targets a more than 6 percent growth.
As for Legrand, it also considered investing a research, development and production facility there. Its 2010 revenue was EUR 4 billion and its target of the global mid-range growth is 10 percent.
