OSRAM SYLVANIA debuted its expanded line of professional LED solutions, including Traxon LED Systems from SYLVANIA. Hosted by newly appointed President and CEO Rick Leaman, the event showcased the superior style and function of SYLVANIA LED systems to the lighting design community.
The company chose an upscale Manhattan penthouse as the backdrop for its lighting design showcase. The suite was illuminated with a variety of ambient, accent, task and decorative lighting installations. SYLVANIA LED experts were on hand to demonstrate each installation and highlight its functionality.
The LED design showcase is the latest in a series of OSRAM SYLVANIA programs to advance awareness and adoption of energy-efficient LED technology. Sixty percent of the company’s present sales are energy-efficient products, and this number is expected to reach 80 percent by 2012. Currently, LED technology accounts for 12 percent of OSRAM SYLVANIA total sales. The company invests 15 percent of the LED sales into research and development (R&D).
To further advance its position in LED technology, OSRAM SYLVANIA has investmented in a multimillion-dollar LED clean room expansion in Massachusetts that houses research for solutions that will fuel the company’s growth in solid state lighting.
