At Samsung’s First Look event hold right before CES 2020, the Korean once again created new viewing experiences for the audience with its novel TV lineups including Micro LED TV, bezel-less TV and a new two ways TV which provides both horizontal and vertical orientations, all featuring 8K AI upscaling capabilities.
Jong-hee Han, President of Visual Displays at Samsung Electronics, said, “As part of our vision of ‘Screens Everywhere,’ we’re thrilled to deliver a more vivid and connected at-home viewing experience by incorporating AI-enabled features and 8K technology into our displays.”
Samsung Electronics introduced its latest lineup of MicroLED, QLED 8K and Lifestyle TVs ahead of CES 2020. The new 88- and 150-inch Micro LED models introduce ultra-slim infinity designs, virtually removing all four sides of the bezels for a finish that blends right into any wall. And consumers can also connect multiple Micro LED panels together to create new combinations and adapt their TV for specific space.

The rumored “bezel-less” TV was also revealed. Samsung announced the new 8K QLED TV, Q950TS, with the “Infinity Screen,” which produces a screen-to-body ratio of 99 percent. The TV panel itself is only 15 mm thin, making it the industry’s first 8K TV to combine an ultra-thin form factor, 8K picture quality, and surround-sound audio.

Moreover, Samsung demonstrated what it calls the Lifestyle TV “The Sero,” which means “vertical” in Korean. The TV has the ability to pivot between horizontal and vertical orientations, like a smartphone or tablet. Following its initial rollout in South Korea last year, Samsung is set to expand The Sero’s availability to several global markets in 2020.
