Creative Systems Lighting Wins Two 2013 Green GOOD DESIGN™ Awards

Energy efficient lighting leader recognized for 5-inch Aperture Eco-Downlight LED and Eco-Invizilite

CSL® (Creative Systems Lighting), pioneers of recessed downlighting and leaders in energy efficient lighting, has received the prestigious 2013 Green GOOD DESIGN™ Award for its 5-inch aperture Eco-Downlight LED and Eco-Invizilite. The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design administer the annual awards program.

Green GOOD DESIGN™, now in its fifth year, identifies and emphasizes the world’s most important examples of sustainable design. It is a special edition of the original GOOD DESIGN™ Award, which was founded in Chicago in 1950 and remains one the oldest and most important awards programs worldwide. Hundreds of submissions were received from around the world. Members of The European Center’s International Advisory Committee served as the jury and selected over 100 products, programs, people, government, environmental planning and architecture as outstanding examples of Green Design.


The latest 5” aperture Eco-Downlight LED is offered in remodel, new construction and IC versions featuring 38 system watts that deliver an astounding 2500 lumens. This product offers: 80 and 90 CRI packages; incandescent dimming; three color temperatures featuring 4 Step Binning; five interchangeable optics to include a 12-, 25-, 45-, 65- and 85-degree beam spreads; and modularity of square and round trims that mate in the same housing.

 

CSL’s Eco-Invizilite answers all of the most challenging concealed lighting issues related to tight radii, sharp turns, confined coves and restrictive spaces. It features a flexible two-conductor cable and accommodates CSL’s high-power 1.5W LED modules. It offers 105 lumens per socket, 80 and 85 CRI packages and sockets that can be removed and/or relocated to place the light right where it’s needed. Eco-Invizilite is UL/C-UL Listed for damp locations.
