Grand Prix New York Selects Xeleum Lighting for LED Conversion

Grand Prix New York has chosen Xeleum Lighting to convert the existing fluorescent and high-bay lighting to LEDs in its 118,000 square foot Mount Kisco, New York entertainment center.

Vice President of Grand Prix New York, Nat Mundy stated, “We initially chose Xeleum to design a unique lighting solution for a new arcade that we were adding to our entertainment center. The lighting they implemented, which includes animated LED lights with custom programmability of color sequences, was so successful it led to a dialogue of how we might use their other LED lighting products throughout our center which also includes indoor go-kart racing and bowling. Our most recent project included the installation of Xeleum LED high-bay fixtures and troffers for use in our restaurant and bowling locations. With our large open spaces and long operating hours, energy costs are a major expense. Xeleum’s LED solutions have already helped us realize a significant savings in our energy bill while providing improved lighting for our customers and staff. In addition, we won’t have to worry about changing another light bulb for years to come and, with or high ceilings and hard to reach light fixtures, we consider that a very key feature!”

George Palmiero, Xeleum Vice President, stated, “Working with Grand Prix New York has been a great experience for Xeleum as it provides a real opportunity to demonstrate the value and versatility of LED lighting. Besides providing superior lighting within this multi-use entertainment center, the conversion to LEDs in a facility such as Grand Prix will result in lighting energy cost savings in the range of 50% - 80%.”

Mr. Palmiero continued, “While the conversion of the entire facility will take place over a period of time, the cost savings and improved lighting is already evident. Once all the fluorescent and high bay fixtures within the facility have been converted to LEDs, GPNY will experience an even greater savings and a rapid payback of their investment in our fixtures. This GPNY project is a perfect example of how Xeleum’s broad range of LED products can be used to solve lighting challenges that involve a variety of the fixture types often found at a single location.”
