New LED Strip Lighting Offers Long Maintenance-Free Lifespans

Today Precision-Paragon [P2] announced the release of two new products for businesses interested in upgrading their fluorescent strip fixtures to energy-efficient LED lighting. The SIL standard LED strip fixture and CKL LED strip conversion kit offer long maintenance-free lifespans, impressive energy savings and a standard five-year factory warranty.

The SIL and CKL also offer long maintenance-free lifespans, with a TM-21 reported L70 of over 51,000 hours.

"We waited to release our LED strip lighting until we were ready to offer something that was significantly better than what was already on the market," said Joe Martin, [P2]'s vice president and general manager. "The SIL and CKL offer much more than any other LED strip lighting available today.”

For starters, the SIL and CKL are made in America at [P2]'s factory in Yorba Linda, Calif.. This allows the company to offer both LED products in a variety of custom configurations. Customers can, for example, select from two sizes, four levels of light output and three options for driver output in either product.

The SIL is a complete LED strip fixture that has an optional factory installed occupancy sensor. The CKL is a prewired LED retrofit kit that's compatible with most existing fluorescent strip fixtures, and can be ordered with an optional occupancy sensor.
Both products have a wide variety of applications for building owners looking to upgrade their existing strip lighting to LED. Common applications for the SIL and CKL include retail & educational environments, warehouses, hallways and closets, task lighting, hard-to-reach manufacturing zones and with many other suitable applications. Both the SIL and CKL are compatible with dimming or bi-level control strategies to further increase energy savings.

"Every application has an ideal fixture," said Russell Price, [P2]'s director of engineering. "Our customization options are an important part of helping our customers find that ideal fixture for their application."

Both the SIL and CKL also deliver impressive energy savings. While the T8 fluorescent utility strip fixtures they are designed to replace typically deliver about 80 lumens per watt, the SIL and CKL offer efficacies of 92-98 lumens per watt. The actual energy savings can be even greater than the difference in efficacy, since the SIL and CKL can offer equivalent delivered light with fewer output lumens than the fixtures they're designed to replace.

The SIL and CKL also offer long maintenance-free lifespans, with a TM-21 reported L70 of over 51,000 hours. Combined with a five-year factory warranty, building owners who choose the SIL and CKL can be confident they're choosing well made, long lasting LED lighting.
