Radiant September revenues up about 24% year on year

Backlight unit (BLU) Radiant Opto Electronics September revenues has been up 23.93% from 2009 to NT$4.248 billion (US$136.86 million) for 2010, and the first three quarters in 2010 revenues totaled NT$12.607 billion, up 3% sequentially.

In September, Shipments of notebook BLUs in which shipments for large-size LED BLUs reached 2.42 million units totaled 4.66 million units, contributing 50% to total revenues. Shipments of CCFL notebook BLUS dropped to about 10,000 units, monitor-use BLUs down 10% from August to 2.21 million units and BLUs for LCD TVs increased 12.69% sequentially to 710,000 units.

For 3Q alone, shipments of notebook BLUs totaled 13.43 million units, monitor-use BLUs reached 7.93 million units, and LCD TV BLUs were 1.92 million units.
