Nichia took action to protect its intellectual property rights

Recently,Nichia Corporation has filed a lawsuit against U.S. Wilmar Corporation for infringing two Nichia patents directed to white LEDs (U.S. Patents Nos. 5,998,925 and 7,531,960) and two Nichia patents directed to LED chips (U.S. Patents Nos. 5,652,434 and 6,093,965) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Meanwhile, Nichia also set up a productive business relationship with MrMax Corporation. MrMax will use Nichia's white LEDs, blue LEDs and pink LEDs for their decorative illumination products in PB products of MrMax.
