Chinese Media Reveal Apple iPhone 6 Release Date

Apple’s Chinese suppliers have leaked that the new iPhone 6 will begin mass production next month, reported Bloomberg. Increasing competition from other smartphone makers may have pressured the company into early production. 

It is reported that Apple will produce two devices with displays larger than the current iPhone 5s, with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions to be released as new iPhone models. The new iPhone 6 is estimated to hit retail shelves on Sept. 19, 2014 according to Chinese media sources. 

Competitors Samsung and HTC have put pressure on Apple after releasing smartphones with displays larger than 5.7-inches.
