Philippines DOE Brightens Up Eastern Samar with Solar LEDs

As part of its Household Electrification Program, the Philippines Department of Energy (DOE) has rolled out solar LED light installations in 375 Eastern Samar households, according to a report by ABS CBN news.

The solar home systems include three 3-watt LED lights and one 1-watt LED light with built in radio and cell phone charger.

Solar panels and LED installations throughout the Philippine province were initiated during the last week of June and is expected to be completed by mid-August.
