Silicon Base Development Inc. (Taiwan), a subsidiary of SemiLEDs Corporation, is again expanding its high power LED portfolio by adding two multiple-chip packages with silicon substrate—S63 and S79. SiBDI’s highly efficient S63/S79 series offers light output options from 400 to 1,000 lumens. The Light Engine can replace incandescent, halogen, and CFL light sources in a variety of applications. These integrated solutions deliver high quality light without pixilation, better color uniformity, and superior lumens output per area - closely replicating the beam quality of conventional light sources. 

Patented SiBDI technology enables industry-leading thermal resistance with exceptional brightness and color uniformity. With the advantage of a low thermal resistance of 2℃/w, silicon packages are able to operate at a low junction temperature which improves reliability. The compact size of the S63 (6.34 X 6.34 X 0.68 mm) and S79 (7.96 X 7.96 X 0.68 mm) make it ideal for small footprint, high performance applications.
