Kansas City Power & Light Co. has installed energy-efficient LED lights to wash the bridge in color at night.Spring pastels can become red, white and blue for Independence Day and other colors for special events.In all, there are 1,224 LEDs clustered in 52 spotlights.It is the second such lighting installation the utility has done. The first was the Wornall Road Bridge on the Country Club Plaza.

Troy-based ilumisys Inc. will begin work with the State of Michigan to provide light-emitting diode (LED) replacement lighting for fluorescent tubes and collect research data in the state's Escanaba office building.Over a 4-year period beginning this month, ilumisys plans to install three successive generations of LED lighting, each to replace 200 4-foot-long fluorescent tubes -- about 25% of those in the two-story, 31,000-square-foot building.

LAHORE: The recently installed light emitting diode (LED) screens on the city’s main roads have started a controversy between the Traffic Police and the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA). The Traffic Police have strongly objected to the PHA’s not seeking permission before installing these LED screens. LEDtronics announced its latest generation of PAR30-Style LED spotlight bulbs. The PAR30 LED bulb is made up of five three-Watt high-power LEDs.
