ALT's LED Downlight wins Commercial Lighting Design and Eco-Design Awards at Hong Kong Int’l Lighting Fair 2014

Taiwanese high-power LED manufacturer Aeon Lighting Technology (ALT) is attending the biggest Lighting Fair in Asia "2014 Hong Kong International Light Fair",displaying superior LED brightness and its leading tech in the industry. The product that gained the most attraction was the Uniqube™ Square-design Downlight which won two of the awards, the Commercial Lighting-Design and Eco-Design awards from "My Favourite Lighting Products Award 2014".

One of the appealing aspects of this product is the frame. Designed with contemporary style and elegance, it emits faint colors to create a sensational visual effect as if looking upon a glittering sky. Combined with ALT’s unique fin type heat-sink for effective heat-dissipation, the 6-inch downlight is able to produce up to 6,000 lumens from only 46 watts. With 130 lumens per watt, it holds a greater competitive edge of 30-50% higher efficiency over other LED Sphere downlights in the existing markets; thus earning the prestigious Eco-Design Award category for bringing the quality and functionality of downlights to a new level. ALT’s CEO Jian-Guo, Liang notes that Uniqube™ represents ALT’s persistence and attitude in achieving the finest qualities and designs, and to create a long-lasting LED that could boost the visual qualities of interior furnishing.

Apart from highlighting downlights’ success, ALT will also be introducing new products at the Hong Kong Light Fair: market’s current brightest T500 LED street light that can replace 2.5 conventional high-pressured sodium lights that is also applicable on a 40m or higher pole. Due to the increasing demand of high CRI in the mature lighting market, ALT has been pushing to apply high CRI in all of their LED products since last year. So far, other than the MR16 and PAR series(which already have high CRI), ALT has successfully implemented T8 tubes, downlights, street lights, and the floodlights to CRI90 and above. Moreover, ALT has announced that starting from Q1 of 2015, they will begin applying the newest chipsets: CREE XP-L, CREE CXA 1510, Lumileds CoB 1203, and OSRAM Square(4000K,CRI95) provided by the most renowned chip manufacturers in the world. CREE has increased their brightness by 30%-40% while Lumileds and OSRAM have pushed for higher CRI without compromising its brightness. Combined with ALT’s patented heat-dissipation and product design, chipsets will be utilized to its optimal efficiency. All these exceptional LED specifications are proof of how ALT is able to lead in the technology of lighting applications.

ALT has long established a strong brand image in the European and North American market and has thus become many buyers’ number one choice for indoor/outdoor LED lighting. Constant innovation, swift services, and strong partnerships with distributors are what ALT focuses on to counter the current slow LED market. As for next year, as long as customer demands and requirements are met, services provided swiftly and delivered satisfactorily, ALT could continue to discover new niche in this growing LED market.
