The upgraded luminaires reduce the input wattage from the previous generation by more than 20 percent while maintaining comparable light output, saving customers more energy and accelerating the time to payback. Offered in 55-, 80- and 105-watt versions, the lights are designed to replace metal halide fixtures of up to 400 watts, while reducing energy consumption by 75-80 percent. In addition to diminishing energy costs, the fixtures virtually eliminate maintenance expenses with an industry-leading L70 lifetime (at 25°C) of 200,000 hours.

MaxLite Flood and Area Lights deliver from 6,000, and up to more than 11,000, lumens of bright, white light that not only provide excellent illuminance levels but also optimize safety and enhance the sense of well-being for pedestrians and motorists. The fixtures feature a new optics package that enables customers to choose from Type III, IV and V IES beam spreads to suit their exterior lighting needs. The luminaires are offered with a 120-277V dimming driver standard; a 347-480V dimming driver is optional. Energy-saving options, including a photocontrol receptacle and motion and daylight sensors, are also available.

MaxLite Flood and Area Lights are constructed of durable, rust- and weather-resistant aluminum in a dark bronze finish. A white finish option is also available. The Flood Light comes standard with an adjustable slipfitter for mounting to poles with a 2 3/8-inch tenon, while the Area Light is comes with a 6-inch arm for pole mounting. Additional mounting accessories are available.

MaxLite LED Area Lights are assembled in the United States and come backed by a five-year limited warranty and lifetime product support. The 105-watt model is currently qualified by DesignLights Consortium (DLC). The other wattages are also expected to be listed by DLC, facilitating their eligibility for utility rebate programs.
