Osram Launches Retrofit Headlight for Volkswagen Golf VI

The new LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition headlight provide a legal upgrade to xenon and LED technology

Following the LEDriving Xenarc headlight for the Audi A4 B7 which were introduced in 2014, Osram is now launching another full retrofit headlight. The LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition can not only be used to update the lighting technology of the VW which is popular with tuners, but it will also give the car a modern and dynamic look. The three versions of the LEDriving Xenarc Edition, GTI, Black and Chrome, will be first showcased at the 2016 Automechanika from September 13 to 17 in hall 3.0, booth D15, and will initially be available exclusively at the Essen Motor Show in November this year.

Osram is extending its portfolio of full retrofit headlights with the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition. Following the LEDriving Xenarc headlights for the Audi A4 B7 manufactured between 2004 and 2008, the Munich-based lighting specialist is now presenting a headlight upgrade for the VW Golf VI. The new front lighting is an approved upgrade solution, in which the existing halogen headlights can simply be replaced without the need for major reconstruction of the vehicle. For individualist Golf VI owners, Osram's lighting designers have created three special versions of the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition: GTI, Black and Chrome. Depending on which version buyers go for, very different characteristics of the vehicle are highlighted.

In the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition facelift, innovative xenon and LED technology replace the halogen lights of the VW. The light output of the full retrofit headlights is considerably higher than that of the original front lighting. The higher luminous efficacy of up to 110 percent compared to standard halogen headlights means that considerably more light can be thrown onto danger zones and obstacles on the road. Equipped with Xenarc original D8S low and high beam, LED daytime running light and LED signal lighting, the LEDriving Xenarc Golf VI Edition is state of the art in OEM quality. The ECE-compliant (Economic Commission for Europe) headlights approved for road use require no automatic headlamp leveling or headlight washer system.
