LED Manufacturer MIC Electronics to Come into Retail Business

Hyderabad-based MIC Electronics Ltd, a manufacturer of LED lighting and display systems, is reportedly set to enter the fast-growing LED lighting retail segment.

According to reports, the company would take a call on pan-India retail plans in its board meet scheduled to be held on August 5, and the company would initially focus on the southern market.

Reports quoted CMD MV Ramana Rao as saying that, “We are currently utilising Rs. 50 crore worth of production. The new expansion is going as scheduled and will take a year from now to go for mass production.”

“Post the recession, we reworked our export strategies and made a good entry by supplying LED screens to universities and schools abroad. This year, exports are likely to double,” the CMD was further quoted as saying.
